Jardim da Estrela

Jardim da Estrela is a beautiful public park in the center of Lisbon, Portugal. It was created in 1842 and expanded in 1872. You will find many lovely attractions here, including a lake with swans and ducks, a bandstand, monuments, trees and flowers, tennis courts, a cinema café, and a playground. The lake, especially, is popular with photographers and naturalists as it attracts many species of birds and offers great photo opportunities. The park also contains sculptures dedicated to prominent Portuguese figures, like the monument to Marquês de Pombal. There are cafés and restaurants around the park, alongside many kiosks and souvenir shops. During summertime, there are often concerts and other events taking place. Jardim da Estrela has a lot to offer, whether you’re in the mood for a peaceful stroll, a picnic, or just a relaxing afternoon spent in nature.
