Hallstatt

Hallstatt and Market, located in Austria, is an incredibly beautiful and historically rich town, nestled on the edge of a tranquil lake. This UNESCO World Heritage Site has been occupied since prehistoric times and is known for its well-preserved salt houses and traditional Alpine homes. Visitors and photographers can explore the winding alleys lined with colourful buildings, explore the ancient history of the town in the Hallstatt Museum or take a boat tour on Lake Hallstatt to admire the surrounding countryside. There is also the world’s oldest salt mine, Salt World Hallstatt, which offers a fascinating look at how salt has been mined for centuries. The scenic views near Hallstatt are also worth a visit, including the wonderful Hallstätter Lake and the Krippenstein mountains.
