Grote Kerk

Grote Kerk is a historical church founded in 1379 at the heart of Zwolle in the Netherlands. The majestic building stands proud amongst the canal-lined streets and is the largest of all the churches in Zwolle. It is also a listed public monument. Grote Kerk is an example of Gothic architecture with its striking brick and sandstone façade, remarkable high-vaulted roof and impressive bell tower. Inside, visitors can admire the baroque pulpit and rood screen, painted wooden ceiling, massive organ and stunning stained-glass windows. It also holds a fascinating collection of religious artifacts and artworks. Visitors can take a guided tour of the church and explore the immense history that is captured within the redbrick walls. Grote Kerk is open every day, except for Mondays, with free admission on Sundays. Moreover, all services are open to visitors.
