Gorges du Verdon

Gorges du Verdon is a large canyon located in Provence, southeastern France. It is 20 km long, with cliffs up to 700 meters high. The impressive turquoise-green Verdon River runs through the bottom of the canyon, creating spectacular views. The area is popular for activities such as kayaking, canyoning, climbing and hiking. The bridge of Galetas, or the Pont du Galetas, is a remarkable old bridge in the area. Built in the 14th century, it connects the two banks of the Verdon River and offers breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape. The bridge has two natural tunnels underneath and is a great stop if you want a unique perspective.
