Noyen-sur-Sarthe is a small commune located in north-western France, in the region of Pays de la Loire. It is part of the historic province of Maine. The area has a long history, being mentioned in texts as far back as the 8th century.

The commune of Noyen-sur-Sarthe is located on the river of the same name, a tributary of the larger Sarthe River. The river is known for its picturesque views, perfect for canoeing and fishing. Just outside of Noyen-sur-Sarthe is the Thoulon Forest, where visitors can find walking and cycling trails, as well as an abundance of wildlife. The commune is home to the vibrant Château de Lavernay, which dates back to the 14th century. Also worth visiting is the Hôtel de Ville, a 17th-century town hall building with a statue of Joan of Arc at its entrance. Other places of interest include the nearby museum Musee des Armes, a collection of over 1,000 old weapons; the ancient church Église de Noyen sur Sarthe; and the grand Château de La Bouille, located just outside of the commune.
