Église Saint-Bernard de Menthon devenu Prieuré de Meillerie - FrancedsduoderoutardsÉglise Saint-Bernard de Menthon devenu Prieuré de Meillerie📍 FranceÉglise Saint-Bernard de Menthon devenu Prieuré de Meillerie, or St. Bernard’s Church and priory of Meillerie, is located in the commune of Meillerie, in the Haute-Savoie department in France. This iconic structure was built between the 12th and 15th centuries. The church most notably features a picturesque Romanesque doorway, which is adorned with statues of Lions and the Virgin Mary. Inside, the walls are lined with paintings that depict different characters from the Bible. Inside the church you will find a gothic baptismal font which was added in the 17th century by the Reformed Church. Besides the church, you will find several interesting artifacts, including some from the Roman times. The priory of Meillerie also has an interesting history, having served as a base for St. Francis of Assisi during his 13th-century mission to convert the valley's inhabitants to Christianity. Today the church and the priory are open to visitors, although it is still used for occasional religious services. It is an interesting site to explore and provides plenty of insight into French history, religion, and art.🗺 Bản đồHiển thị trên bản đồ🎫 Điểm thu hút khách du lịchKiểm tra các điểm du lịch gần đó🏨 Ký túc xáKiểm tra ký túc xá gần đó🌦 Thông tin thời tiếtNhận thông tin thời tiết và hơn thế nữa từ ứng dụng.
