Écluse de la Roche sur Maine is an old lock in La Roche-Neuville, France. It is part of the Mayenne Canal, which was built between 1848 and 1860 to connect the river Mayenne to the Loire. Écluse de la Roche sur Maine provides an interesting area for photography, to capture the surrounding nature, life of the people living near the canal and the canal itself. You can also find an old railway, a few restaurants, and cafés in the area. The main attraction of the lock is a charming bridge of about 20 meters long that spans the canal. There is a small island at the middle of the bridge, where you can take an elevated view of the lock.
