Cattedrale di San Lorenzo

The Cattedrale di San Lorenzo is the main cathedral in Genoa, Italy. It is an imposing structure, completed in 1117 and built in Romanesque architectural style on top of the main hill in the city's terraced center. Its 2-storey facade is decorated with numerous ornaments, while inside its 3 naves the visitor can admire a magnificent altar piece and a lofty dome,all culminating in an imposing bell tower. During its long life, the Cathedral has been the witness to wars and earthquakes, which has left its mark and made it what it is today.
