The Battistero di San Giovanni in Tumba is an ancient arched baptistry located in Monte Sant'Angelo in Puglia, Italy. Built in the 4th century AD on the former site of a pagan temple, the structure is filled with interesting details such as sculptures, frescoes and an ancient marble font. Visitors can admire the imposing sandstone columns, intricate carvings, richly decorated porticos and tympanumns, as well as the stained glass windows on the upper floors. The ground floor gallery of the Battistero used to host exhibitions and performances by local Roman Catholics, while at the same time offering an excellent light to the choir area. It is a unique monument full of historical and religious significance that visitors should not miss!
