Astoria-Megler Bridge

The Astoria-Megler Bridge is the longest continuous truss bridge in North America, joining Oregon and Washington across the Columbia River. Completed in 1966 the bridge spans 4.1 miles and is the ninth longest bridge in the world. The views from the bridge are beautiful and give you a feeling of crossing from one state to the next. The arch of the bridge as it stretches across the river, towards the backdrop of coastal mountains and the Pacific Ocean, can be quite a sight. It is possible to walk across the bridge, with safe pedestrian access and restrooms, offering some of the best panoramic views of the area. There are plenty of places to park where you can take in the sights and have amazing photo opportunities.
