Taj Mahal in Agra, India is one of the world’s most famous and majestic monuments. Built by Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his beloved wife, Mumtaz Mahal, the monument stands in beautiful Mughal architecture and is regarded as an iconic symbol of love. Visitors can take in the stunning architecture, intricate marble inlay work, and the reflection pool from any of the four archways leading to a former palace. Different times of day provide different experiences, ranging from have a peaceful time watching a sunrise or sunset, or exploring in the midday light. Admission to Taj Mahal is free for children under the age of 15, so it is a great family destination. Photography is permitted inside the premises, however, no accessories such as tripods are allowed inside.
