Thonburi Pagoda of Wat Arun

Wat Arun, or The Temple of Dawn, is one of the most iconic landmarks of Bangkok. Nestled along the Chao Phraya river, Wat Arun can be seen from various points of the city and stands as a symbol of Thailand's Buddhist culture. It's main feature is the gigantic prang (a Khmer-style steep tower), covered with colorful porcelain tiles, which was built in 1768. You can take the stairs to the top of the prang and enjoy spectacular views of the city. The temple also houses other sculptures, Buddha statues, and a large monastery. It's an interesting place to visit in order to learn more about Thailand's Buddhist culture and architecture.
