Rotonda del Parque

Rotonda del Parque is a stunning and iconic monument located in the heart of the beautiful Parque San Martín in the city of Mendoza. As one of the main attractions of the city, the rotonda has been witness to many important historical acts. The structure was built in 1943 in the honor of general José de San Martín, a hero of the Argentinian Revolution and the Liberator of South America. The monument is 22 meters in length and made up of a tower with an impressive column in the center. It is flanked by four plaques with images of the four battles fought in the War of Independence.
