Plaza de España

The Plaza de España and Puerta de Navarra are two iconic symbols of Sevilla, Spain. The Plaza de España, built in 1929, is a half-circle building with a tiled patio and four archways representing Spain's former provinces in four corners. Each archway is decorated with a painted tile mural featuring a historical scene. The Puerta de Navarra is an ornate 16th century Mudéjar-style gate located in the nearby Plaza de los Reyes Católicos. It was originally part of the wall around the old city before it was dismantled.
