Ping Shek Estate

Ping Shek Estate in Ngau Tau Kok, Hong Kong is a dense public housing estate built in the 1970s. It is one of the oldest and most iconic of the public housing projects in Hong Kong. Consisting of nine residential and one commercial tower, it has been the backdrop of innumerable cinema, TV, and art-house productions over the years. Visitors to Ping Shek can take a stroll around the complex and explore the various buildings and plazas. Recent renovations have vastly improved the courtyard areas, including see-through glass panels allowing views of the towers in all their glory. The estate is also home to the world's longest escalator. It is a major transportation hub linking to Kowloon Bay and the MTR network. Visitors should also be sure to explore the surrounding suburban neighborhoods which offer plenty of local character.
