Pfähle am Hafen

Pfähle am Hafen is a picturesque area on the harbor of the coastal village of Spiekeroog, Germany. It consists of hundreds of pfähle, wooden poles, planted by the fishermen living in the area who guide their boats in the shallow harbor waters. During low tides, visitors can walk on the seabed to explore this beautiful sight, as the miles of sandbanks jut out into the North Sea. In addition to all the wildlife, the nearby dunes often provide panoramic views of the island, and the harbor, best seen during sunrise or sunset.
