Park near Vietnam Veterans Fountain

Chicago's Vietnam Veterans Fountain is a tribute to those who served and continue to serve in the United States Armed Forces. Located in the heart of Downtown Chicago's Grant Park, the fountain is a unique, interactive memorial to honor those who fought in that war, and the sacrifices they made. The fountain is composed of three parts: The Pool of Remembrance, The Walk of Honor, and the Wall of Honor. The granite slabs of the Pool of Remembrance form a peaceful oasis in the bustling city. The Walk of Honor features a line of soldiers in battle dress casting thoughtful salutes to welcome special visitors to the Point of Remembrance. Finally, the Wall of Honor bears the inscriptions of the names of almost 5000 Illinois servicemen lost in the Vietnam War. Visitors are encouraged to take a moment to reflect and pay their respects.
