Laguna Epecuen

Laguna Epecuen is located in the Argentine town of Villa Epecuén, about downhill from the town of Carhue. The area was once home to a thriving resort town that was renowned for its stunning views of the salt-water lagoon. Then in 1985, the lagoon burst its banks, flooding the town with a devastating 25 meters of water and creating a unique, eerie landscape that has earned the area the moniker "the lost city".
