Imperial Beach Pier

Imperial Beach Pier is one of the longest ocean piers in the United States, jutting out 1,491 feet into the Pacific Ocean. The historic pier serves as a popular gathering point for fishermen and locals, who come to the pier for the spectacular views and access to the ocean. A wide variety of marine wildlife can be seen from the pier and visitors can also take in the local scenery, including the Bayshore Bikeway, which lines the beach as it leads to Coronado Island. The beach beneath the pier also features a variety of shorebirds, including experienced surfers. Swimmers should take caution here as the surf can be quite strong.
