Griffith Observatory

Griffith Observatory is a must-visit attraction located on Mt. Hollywood just outside Los Angeles, California. The Observatory offers amazing views of downtown LA as well as distant landmarks such as the San Gabriel Mountains to the north and Catalina Island to the southwest. The observatory also serves as a renowned cultural center, hosting scientific and astronomy-related discussions, art exhibits and more. Inside, there are many fascinating exhibits related to astronomy, including the Demonstration Telescope and Foucault Pendulum. Additionally, the historic building and its public area houses the Leonard Nimoy Event Horizon Theater and Hubble Telescope Exhibit. The Observatory also has a stunning rooftop terrace that’s open to the public and is the perfect spot to take in an awe-inspiring sunset.
