Escadórios do Bom Jesus

Escadórios do Bom Jesus is a stunning baroque staircase located beside the Santuário do Bom Jesus do Monte, in Braga, Portugal. The staircase is a popular pilgrimage site, due to a statue representing Jesus located at the top of the staircase. It is an impressive structure consisting of seven flights of stairs, with 560 steps in total, supported by three arcades, plus two small elements of the landscape: ponds, which surround the base. It is considered one of the most relevant Portuguese architectural works and is recognized as a National Monument. There is a short funicular railway from the bottom of the staircase to the top which provides breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape. The staircase is surrounded by a beautiful park with many green areas and walkways. The combination of architectural beauty, art, and nature make the Escadórios do Bom Jesus an unmissable attraction.
