Durdle Door

Durdle Door and Scratchy Bottom are two of the most beautiful and iconic landscapes in the United Kingdom. The rugged limestone arch of Durdle Door is the accessible point for a superbly picturesque, dramatic and beautiful beach walk along the Jurassic Coast. Durdle Door sits above a natural swimming pool which offers some of the best swimming along the coastline, with the towering cliffs providing refreshing breezes. Popular with snorkelling and diving enthusiasts, the cove offers gentle sloping white sand under the rising cliff sides, and also provides a stunning backdrop for romantic walks on moonlit evenings. Scratchy Bottom is a small valley running down to the sea and is so named for its numerous small outcrops and hollows carved by the elements, making for fantastic photographic interest. The bottom is surrounded by a tranquil woodlands which offer some wonderful landscape opportunities.
