Church of Our Lady

The Church of Our Lady, in Dijon, France, was built in 1283 to replace an earlier church. Situated near the Place de la Liberation, it is one of the few surviving remnants of the fortifications which once surrounded the city. Inside you will find a vast array of Gothic and Renaissance sculptures, frescoes, stained glass windows and other artwork. The church’s crypt is also a must-see with its well-preserved architectural details. The church’s bell tower is an impressive sight to behold and can be accessed with a guided tour. There is also a museum located inside the church which includes numerous artifacts and important religious works of art. A visit to the Church of Our Lady should definitely be on the itinerary of any traveler to Dijon.
