Cachoeira de Deus

Cachoeira de Deus (The Falls of God) is a beautiful waterfall located in a village called Itatiaia, Rio de Janeiro State, in Brazil. It has a spectacular view of the mountains and two different pools of water where it is possible to bathe. The way to get there requires a hike of approx. 2 km in an area of lush vegetation and thick fog, however the rewarded stunning view at the falls is worth it. Visitors can also access a platform above the waterfall so they can appreciate its beauty in a more dramatic way. The place is a perfect place for those who love nature and want to escape the urban life. Remember to bring your sunscreen and repellent to keep the bugs away!
