Ash Cave is a magnificent sandstone cave located in South Bloomingville, Ohio, United States. It is located in Hocking Hills State Park and is the largest of ten caves located throughout the park. It stands at 30 feet (9.1 m) high, 100 feet (30 m) wide, and 300 feet (91 m) deep and features a waterfall that cascades out from the cave's mouth. It is also home to the Edible Ash tree, a species that is now endangered, in addition to several other species of fungi and lichens. Visitors can explore the cave by taking a hike through a wooded trail leading up to the entrance. Inside, visitors can take in the incredible views of the waterfall and the lush vegetation that lines the cave’s walls. There are also boardwalks and staircases that allow visitors to traverse into the cave in order to find even more photo opportunities.
