Cerro Champaqui is located in Los Molles, in the north of San Juan Province, Argentina. It is a distinctive, flat-topped mountain which stands out from the rolling hills surrounding it. It rises 2,649 m (8,688 ft) above sea level, is topped by an enormous white rock, and towers over the picturesque vineyards and olive groves of the countryside. It is a major tourist spot, and hikers can take advantage of the various well-marked trails crisscrossing the mountain. These trails afford hikers the chance to explore the local flora, while also offering splendid views of the incredible landscape which surrounds the mountain. With its deep ravines, natural springs and ponds, Cerro Champaqui is a great place to explore the fascinating outdoors of San Juan Province.
