Schloss Münster

Schloss Münster is an imposing structure located in the city of Münster, Germany. It dates back to the year 1569 and was previously used by the Prince Bishops of Münster, and was later given to the University of Münster. The castle is renowned for its gorgeous architecture, its vast collection of art, and its beautiful gardens and sculptures. The Great Hall in the castle houses the imposing portrait of Emperor Maximilian Joseph, painted by his court painter, Joseph von Abele. One of the castle's main attractions is its museum, which showcases wooden furniture from the 15th to the 18th century, works of handicraft and paintings. A visit to the castle is not complete without exploring the castle grounds and gardens, which boast limestone sculptures, lush green spaces, and a small cafe.
