Pollurin Lake

Pollurin Lake is a stunning place located in Saksun, Faroe Islands. The lake is surrounded by a rugged landscape, with the village of Saksun on one side and the Tjornhumli peninsula on the other. It is the perfect spot for a morning or evening stroll. You get a beautiful view of the lake and its surroundings from the top of the hill nearby. At the lake, you can see the Morurin waterfall cascading down from the mountain towards the lake. The area also hosts a large population of seabirds, from oystercatchers, guillemots, and razorbills to puffins. Get closer to the water and you can observe local Faroese birds like ptarmigans, snow buntings, and whimbrels. With some luck, you may also spot a flock of wild swans. This is certainly a place and an experience to remember.
