Nida Lighthouse

Nida Lighthouse is one of the most iconic sites in Nida, located in Northwestern Lithuania. It stands tall on the Curonian Spit's highest dune, offering marvelous views of the blue Curonian Lagoon to the east and the wild Baltic Sea to the west. Visiting the lighthouse at sunset is a really special experience! The main building was constructed in 1889, making it one of the oldest lighthouses in Lithuania. Inside, visitors can see a number of exhibits, a gift shop, and a pleasant cafe with outdoor terrace. An informal path also leads visitors up to the top of the nearby dunes, where a metal stairway atop the dune provides access to the lighthouse balcony. Despite being a modern attraction, the lighthouse still operates its light every night, sending out a bright beacon across the Curonian Spit!
