Lake Marian

Located on the northwest side of Mount Aspiring in the stunning Mount Aspiring National Park, Lake Marian is a tranquil lake surrounded by spectacular New Zealand landscapes. Hike up to the lake to experience the wild beauty of nature and soak up the mesmerizing views! There are plenty of other sites to admire in the vicinity, such as the Marian Glacier which is just a few minutes away by foot. Take note of the clear forest trails and river banks, as well as the incredible rock formations. A good time for hikers is early morning and evening, as the light is usually quite good during those periods. This is a great spot for camping, fishing and star gazing and is a superb photography site.
