Hearst Castle

Hearst Castle is a National Historic Landmark located in San Simeon, United States. It was the estate of media mogul William Randolph Hearst and is now operated by the California State Parks system. The castle itself was completed in 1947 and is made up of five separate structures and over 160 rooms. Many of the buildings have spectacular architectural features like vaulted ceilings and grand staircases. The property also contains enormous art collections, including European tapestries and sculptures, a large collection of decorative artwork, and multiple pools surrounded by incredible landscaped gardens. Hearst Castle is considered a must-see destination in California and is a great place to explore and snap photos of the incredible buildings and artwork.
