Bovbjerg Fyr

Bovbjerg Fyr is a well-known and iconic lighthouse located in Lemvig, on Denmark’s west coast. It is located about 2.5 km south of the city center and stands 171ft tall. The lighthouse was built in 1865 on a small dune and can be reached by walking along the coast. Despite its age, the lighthouse still shines brightly and can be seen 20 nautical miles out to sea. From its location, visitors can take in a unique view of the North Sea and Teutoburg Forest. It makes for a great spot for photographers and nature lovers, who can enjoy the landscape and wildlife that surrounds the lighthouse. Additionally, visitors can tour the inside of the lighthouse, ranging from the stairs and the top level balcony, to the lower level and the keeper's house, to learn more about the history of the landmark.
