Yagizaki Park

Yagizaki Park is a beautiful park located in Fujikawaguchiko town, Japan. You can find it at the foot of Mt. Kachi Kachi Ropeway, and it will take your breath away. It covers 13 hectares, and has many attractions, like a lake, gardens, cherry trees and more.

One of the main highlights of the park is the lake, which is also known as Yagizaki-ko. It is a beautiful lake located at the northern end of the park, surrounded by countless trees and the majestic Mount Fuji that can be seen in the background. On the lake, you can take a boat ride and fish, but they are limited activities. There is a water side road at the northern end of the lake, and it offers stunning views of Mount Fuji and of the lake itself. Another interesting spot in Yagizaki Park is the Kachi Kachi no Mori, a garden with all kinds of plants, including cherry trees in blossom during the spring. The garden has many pathways and bridges, from which you can enjoy a view of the beautiful flowers and Mount Fuji. If you get hungry or thirsty, there are a few restaurants and cafes along the way where you can get something to eat and drink. You can also enjoy the traditional Japanese garden and other plants for an extended lunch break. In the afternoon, wonder around Izunuma pond, stepping in the water and walking around the bridge. If you are lucky, you can also spot some birds like cranes, ducks and swans swimming in the lake. No visit to Yagizaki Park is complete without a visit to Kachi Kachi Ropeway, located close to the pond. It is the ideal spot to admire the scenery and to take in the beauty of Mount Fuji.
