Victoria and Albert Museum

The Victoria and Albert Museum, located in Greater London, is the world's largest museum of decorative arts and design. Founded in 1852, the museum today houses a collection of over 2.27 million objects in 12.5 acres of galleries, making it one of the foremost galleries of art and design in the world. From fashion and textiles to sculpture, prints, photographs and paintings, the V&A is home to an impressive array of art and design, both ancient and modern. It also houses numerous temporary exhibitions, such as the recent Tim Walker's Wonderful Things, an exhibition of photographs by the acclaimed fashion photographer. Permanent collections are free of charge and open six days a week, except during major holidays.
