The Japanese Garden of Buenos Aires is an enchanting part of the city, located in the neighborhood of Palermo. It is the largest public Japanese garden in South America, with a 10-hectare area. Its entrance is free and it opens from Wednesday to Sunday from 9 AM to 5 PM. Apart from its two artificial ponds with flowering lilies, koi-carp, Japanese peonies, bamboos, maples and cherry trees, it features a waterfall, a greenhouse and a tea house too. While there, you may take a leisurely stroll along pedestrian stone paths, experiencing the inner peace of the environment and discovering its most special corners. There is also a bonzai nursery and a souvenir shop. Besides enjoying the beauty of nature, the gardens have a great cultural interest as it serves as a meeting and diffusion point of the Japanese culture.
