The Broad

The Broad is a contemporary art museum located in downtown Los Angeles, California. It houses a collection of over 2,000 postwar and contemporary artworks, which are primarily focused on the American and European art movements of the 1950s. The Broad’s spacious galleries offer visitors ample opportunity to explore the range of its permanent collection and the changing special exhibitions curated around it. It is also home to a popular outdoor sculpture garden, which features work by internationally acclaimed artists. The Broad also provides educational programs for visitors of all ages and hosts transformative artistic experiences such as film screenings and live performances. Additionally, the building is designed by renowned architect, Diller Scofidio + Renfro and features an iconic, lattice-like “veil” of laminated glass panels that fill the entire third floor.
