Statue of Liberty

The Statue of Liberty is an iconic cultural symbol and America’s national monument. Standing in the Jersey City harbor in the United States, this majestic sculpture was a gift from the people of France to the United States in 1886. The Statue heralds the arrival of immigrants to America, and stands as a reminder of core values such as freedom, democracy and hope. The statue is made of copper sheeting covering a steel structure designed by Gustave Eiffel.
