Statua l'Eco is an 18th century sculpture located in the centre of Turin, Italy. It was designed by the great Italian sculptor Carlo Marochetti. The statue was commissioned by Duke Amadeo of Aosta, then King of Spain, as a sculpture to honour illustrious members of the French Academy of Sciences. The statue is a bronze cast of the King's head and torso, mounted atop a tall column. It is said that the statue was made to symbolize the growing importance of science in the modern world. Visitors can admire the statue from the nearby Parco del Valentino, a large and popular park in the center of Turin. Statua l'Eco is a popular spot for tourists and locals alike, so don’t forget to visit during your trip to Turin!
