St. Coloman, located in the picturesque village of Schwangau in the German state of Bavaria, is a stunning 500-year-old chapel that sits atop a small hill overlooking a lush valley, attracting visitors from all corners of the region. An important local cultural and religious site since the early 16th century, St. Coloman is an excellent example of German Gothic architecture, featuring a quaint clock tower, an intricate portico and a beautiful altar. Inside, visitors will find a glorious wooden ceiling with intricately carved decoration adorning the walls. On the exterior stands a stunning string of bell towers, decorated with beautiful stucco work. A hike up to the chapel offers views of surrounding villages and is home to various wildlife, including birds of prey and wild deer.
