Schilt

Schilt is a beautiful and picturesque hamlet in the Swiss Canton of Glarus, surrounded by majestic Alpine peaks. Set at an elevation of 2,080 meters (6825 feet), it is the highest permanent settlement in Glarus. Schilt consists of just two houses, each with wooden balconies and a white church. A narrow road leads to Schilt, making it a great place to escape the hustle and bustle of city life. Schilt is a great spot for photographers, offering stunning views of the Swiss Alps and the glaciers of the Swiss National Park. Visit on a clear day for the perfect photo opportunity. Don't forget to take a hike too, as the nearby Galtür-Mesocco trail has amazing views over the glaciers.
