Savica Waterfall is one of the most popular attractions in Slovenia. Located in the Julian Alps near the town of Radovljica, the falls drop over 78 m (256 ft) into an 8 m (26 ft) deep pool. As the highest waterfall in Slovenia and a popular tourist destination, Savica Waterfall is definitely worth a visit! A paved path allows visitors to access the top of the falls from the main road, making it easy to take in their stunning beauty. The best way to experience Savica Waterfall’s raw power is to come in the middle of the spring season when snow melting in the mountains causes the largest amount of water to cascade down the cliffs. A restaurant near the entrance of the trail also offers food and drinks, making it perfect for an afternoon picnic.
