Saint Anthony's Chapel Ruins

Saint Anthony’s Chapel Ruins is a fascinating place in Somerset, south-west of Scotland. It was originally built in the 12th century as a medieval refuge for pilgrims, but was eventually abandoned and is now a ruin. The ruins are comprised of remnants of a chapel, a holy well, and various rectilinear enclosures with masonry fragments. The ruin is quite prominent, flanked by two earthenworks of stone ramparts which were built 2 centuries after the chapel.
