Posttower Bonn

The Posttower and Platz der Deutschen Post in Bonn, Germany, are iconic landmarks to visit. The Posttower, Germany's tallest building with 45 floors, stands 128 metres tall and proudly looks over the city. The Platz der Deutschen Post directly in front of the tower is a picturesque public square, perfect for a leisurely stroll. You will find the large reflecting pool which is flanked by sculptures and trees. There is also a 17th century chapel, the Dreimillrutenkapelle, close to the tower. The square is right next to the Rhine River, and its banks make for a lovely stroll in the summer months. Many locals come here for a relaxing break from their daily life. If you're lucky, you can catch some of the weekly concerts that take place in the square. The tower is well-lit in the evening, and makes for some impressive nighttime photography.
