Palazzo dei Consoli

Palazzo dei Consoli is a beautiful 14th-century manor in the centre of Gubbio, a small medieval town in the province of Umbria, Italy. Built in 1325, it is the town's most notable building and one of the best-preserved public palaces of the Middle Ages. Standing tall with its double-corner turret and four stories, it is a sight to behold. The bottom two stories feature stone arcades with mouldings, while the top two have 12th-century Romanesque windows with five archivolt layers and two columns. The interiors are as grand and beautiful as the exterior, with superbly ornamented ceilings, a variety of attractive Gothic doorways, and walls adorned with common frescoes that hold great artistic and historical value.
