Mount Hood

Mount Hood is an impressive mountain peak in the U.S. state of Oregon. It stands 11,248 feet above sea level and is the highest mountain in Oregon. The mountain is a popular skiing and snowboarding destination and is home to Timberline Lodge, a popular resort. From the summit, visitors can catch a glimpse of Cascade volcanoes, including Mt. Jefferson and Mt. St. Helens. Hiking trails offer panoramic views of the surrounding countryside and the Columbia River Gorge. There are also numerous lakes and rivers nearby for swimming, fishing, canoeing, and kayaking. Some of the more popular trails lead to local waterfalls, including Ramona Falls, which is accessible from the Ventana Trail. Well-maintained trails make it easy to explore the mountain's lush forests, while backcountry adventurers can tackle more challenging trails leading to the summit.
