📍 Från Big River Trail, United States
The Memphis–Arkansas Bridge is a bridge located in Crittenden County, United States that carries US Route 79 and US Route 70 across the Mississippi River. The bridge spans a length of 2498 feet and it is one of the few five-span cantilever truss bridges in the United States. The bridge features two widely spaced, 10-span continuous through trusses, anchored on four concrete piers with the central span being 886 feet long. The bridge has two 11-span deck trusses between and connecting the two main trusses, which are 441 feet long. The bridge also features an unusual bridge house, which functions as a service area for fishing boats on the river. The views of the river from the bridge are magnificent and makes it one of the best spots to observe the Mississippi River in this part of the country.
