Mares Leg Cove

Mares Leg Cove is a stunning secluded beach, tucked away at the base of majestic Cathedral Cove Marine Reserve, in Hahei, New Zealand. Popular for its long sandy beach, crystal clear waters and beautiful rocky landscape, it is a true paradise for any beach lover. During low tide, it is possible to find all sorts of sea creatures in the rockpools, from starfish to crabs and other small invertebrates. Kayaking, swimming, snorkeling, diving and picnics are all popular activities here. Whaihuka, a giant archway through the rock, is nearby and a great spot for exploring.
