La Regenta

Santiago is the capital and largest city of Chile. With a population of over six million people, it is one of the most populous cities in South America. Situated in the central valley of the country, it offers amazing views of the Andes mountain range. There are plenty of parks, museums, and monuments to explore, the most visited being the Palacio La Moneda, the National History Museum, and the Cerro Santa Lucia. The city comes alive during the day and night, with buzzing cafes, restaurants, and bars to enjoy. Santiago provides a great base for exploring some of Chile’s picturesque vineyards, secluded beaches, and natural wonders such as the glaciers, geysers, and volcanoes.
