Kralj Kapija (pronounced Krălʹy Kapeeya) is an impressive stone fortress, situated in the old part of the city of Belgrade, Serbia. The fortress stands just north of the Kalemegdan Fortress, and is composed of two walls, built of stone and fortified with towers. Dating back to the 14th century, Kralj Kapija is a unique sightseeing landmark in Belgrade, with a rich and fascinating history.

The original fortress was built in the Middle Ages to protect the city from invaders, and since then has undergone many changes. During the Ottoman period, the fortress was used as a defensive tool, while, in the 19th century, when the city was part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire, it became a prison. Kralj Kapija offers spectacular views of the city, stretching out to the riverfront of Belgrade. Its location atop a hill provides incredible panoramas of the city below, and even Belgrade Castle can be seen on a clear day. The castle walls are adorned with several monuments and sculptures, making Kralj Kapija a popular must-see when visiting Belgrade.
