Its oldest part is the Strahov Monastery, which dates back to 1143 and was originally located outside the city walls. The Klementinum is famous for its library hall and the astronomical tower, from which visitors can get a fantastic view of the Old Town. It also houses the National Library, established by Emperor Rudolf II in the late 16th century, as well as the Baroque Church-Mirror Chapel and the House of the Stone Bell.
